Tounge Fins?

Tounge Fins?

On the underside of my tounge there are two "fins" toward the tip. These are bi-lateral and two on the right side have started to give a minor amount of pain while eating/spitting. Are these "fins" (I use fins due to the fact I have no clue what they would be called) normal? Should I worry about the fact that one side has a small amount of pain while eating/spitting? Thank you for your help.

These are normal tissues that are present on your tongue. One side might be irratated for some reason or another. I don't think it is anything to worry about.
