Toxic Composite in Dental Crowns and Caps

I have a history of auto-immune issues and currently dealing with symptoms.  Recently I discovered quite by accident that my dental porcelain crowns and caps (12 in all) contain a toxic colorant used by the dental industry up until the mid 1980s.  Sounds incredibly stupid and it is.  Depleted and natural uranium, highly toxic, radioactive substances were used to achieve an opaque quality of the natural human tooth.   I wish to have my exposure levels measured, the first step in my goal of removal and reconstruction and ultimately regaining my health.  Does anyone know how to go about securing a measurement of alpha particles (ionizing radiation) at a hospital or university without sounding like, well, a complete nutcase?  Or must I buy my own device?  Any suggestions are very much appreciated.
