Unusual Symptoms

by mishele75, Mar 13, 2008 01:09PM
Back in October, I was having some pain in the back bottom left side of my mouth.  At this point, the second to last tooth had already been through a root canal and had a crown.  My dentist did an x-ray and saw in it that there was a dark spot in that tooth where the roots meet.  Thinking that was the cause of my pain, he sent me to an Endontist.  The Endontist found that it was not that tooth, but the last one that was causing me problems and that I needed a root canal in that tooth.  I had the root canal done in late October and all seemed fine.  Recently, I've been having some strange symptoms.  The same area has pain but only sometimes, meaning it comes and goes.  And I've been feeling like I have a sinus infection (pain/pressure in my left temple/cheek) but no other sinus symptoms (runny nose, etc).  Could all this be related to the two root canals?

The lower teeth would not give you the symptoms that you are describing. If you do not have a sinus infection I would look into the upper teeth as a possible cause.
