Weird ulcer in mouth?

I have an ulcer in my mouth, at least that's what I think it is... The weird thing is that it is like a slit in my gum. Kind of like a cut. It hurts really bad, it's sore and anything that touches it makes it hurt. All my ulcers I've ever had have bubble-looking though, not like this cut-looking one. It's pretty wide too. If anyone knows what this is, please help? it's been in my mouth for this will be the third day.

Jordan it's a canker sore. If it didn't show up on its own, you can also get a sore that looks like that if you are brushing your teeth, and your hand slips.
Either way it's nothing to worry about. Rinse with warm salt water, that will help it heal.

You may have eaten something sharp that cut that part of your mouth.
My husband got an injury from eating a Pringle in the roof of his mouth that caused a large cut.

Gargle with salty water.
You can also purchase Bonjela for mouth ulcers from large supermarkets and from the pharmacy.

The lesion appears to be traumatic ulcer, which tends to heal in 7-10 days. If it does not resolve in 2 weeks, seeing a dentist is advised.
