When to give up?

I am scheduled for a retreatment of a root canal next month.  I have been going over the fees for this retreatment and upcoming crown...yikes!  I wonder if it's even worth it!  Is there a point when you just say enough is enough and have the tooth pulled???

the most important factor to determine whether the tooth is salvable or not depends on the clinical judgement of the treating dentists. Seeing a competent endodontist and restorative dentist is advised.

My retreatment is scheduled with an endodontist.  I'm just freaking out about the fees!!!  I have dental insurance through my employer and through my husband's employer as well but it's still extremely expensive!

yes it is expensive but you want to save the teeth if possible. pulling a tooth will leave you needing a bridge and if just left a hold then the surrounding teeth will start to move in order to accomodate for the missing tooth.
