White Indented Sore on/near palate

by SilentWong, Aug 05, 2005 12:00AM
I have what looks like a whiteish sore ( feels like an indent ) on the top of my mouth near the back ( palate? ) around where the gums seems to fade off into the rest of the mouth, its been there for about 3-4 or so days now, it was smaller a day or so ago.. but it seems to have grown, which scares me, and being without medical and broke, I haven't been to the dentist in a while, but I was just wondering what it might be. Also around where I guess the wisdom teeth are in the back on the gums is slighly white, I would take a picture if I had a good enough camera, I did find a good diagram of the mouth, and circled and labled the areas I am talking about.

Thank you for any help you may be able to give about this. If this is not enough information, please let me know and I will try to give a better description.

It is very difficult to diagnose a sore like that without seeing it.  It could be a number  of types of lesions and you'd be better off having an examination done to get a proper diagnosis.  It doesn't sound too serious but have a dentist take a look if you can.
