White Patch on Upper Gums

by Cterkey, Nov 17, 2006 12:00AM
Hello,

For the past couple of months, I have had a white raised patch over my front upper teeth on my gums.  It can be brushed away, is painless, doesn't bleed, though when it is brushed away, the gums underneath look slightly ulcerated, though the same colour as the rest of my gums.  I at first thought it was toothpaste all the time, until a friend who is a hygenist had a look and suggested I get it looked at.  She suggested possibly candidiasis?  Does this make sense?  Or could it be something more serious?

Thanks.

It does not sound serious but I would have it looked at. Candidiasis usually is more widespread.
