White bump (sore) on tongue.

A few times a year I get this little white bump on my tongue!  It is an enlarged, and SORE little round taste bud.  Sometimes I will get two or three - sometimes one.  They are quite annoying and irritated by my teeth and of course anything acidic, or hot.  I have tried snapping them off with nail clippers.  It hurts like heck - but then begins the healing process.  I haven't found a diagnosis and/or treatment for them yet.  I've googled it, and heard similar reports as mine from other people and even reports of toddlers who get it.

WHEN I am at my oral surgeons, there isn't one - SO - it remains anonymous.  Would love to hear any cures or helpful  tips!

seriously tho it just sounds like a swollen taste bud.... dont clip them with nail clippers 1- that is just gross, and 2- you can get a seriously nasty infection..... have you been to the dentist?
