White like canker sores on my tounge

For the past few days, I've been having a really hard time trying to cope with this annoying pain.
I am currently going through an ear infection which caused my tonsils to swell up, but what i don't understand is,
my tongue has 5-7 spots of canker sore on the tip and right on the right side of the tip on the top and two on the right lower side, I've been rinsing my mouth with Listerine and salt water but it doesn't seem be going away, infact more seem to be showing up, because my tongue is in so much pain i can't even speak with out it hurting, i also have white area's around my inner teeth around two teeth i recently had gotten root colonels on two teeth on the top set. Is there anything i can do to make this pain go away?

Its hard to say what exactly is causing the sores unless we have a picture of them to see where they are located and what they look like.

You could always try a topical anesthetic from the drug store to lessen pain but it wont make the sore go away.  More than likely you will need to wait it out.
