White spot on lower gum

by TresaPittenger, Aug 08, 2008 09:05AM
I have a white spot (about 1/3 of the size of my pinky nail) on my lower canine tooth.  It looks like a blister.  If I touch it, it gets pink and then after a little time turns whitish again. I had a root canal done there years ago by a surgeon and I am wondering if that is where he pulled the root and had my stitches.   I have 5 teeth left on my bottom and I am getting them pulled after my pregnancy (cannot wait!).  I am 36 years old and have had more root canals, etc than most people have in their lifetime.  I cannot honestly remember if this spot has been here forever and I never noticed it??  One of my bottom teeth broke off not too long ago and the dentist cemented it back on about 6 weeks ago.  Would he have said something if it was bad?  I just don't know if it was there 6 weeks ago.....   Of course being pregnant, my hormones are racing and making me insane about this white spot.....
