White stuff at bottom of some teeth?

I have some white stuff at some places on tops and bottoms of my teeth, is it just a case of seeing the hygenist, as the last time I went to the hygenist was december 14th!

I admit I am brushing my teeth longer then I should and I know I shouldn't but find it hard to stop!!!!!!!  some of my gum has further receded in a couple places because of it, I had mild gingivitus start of last year, and I dont want it again!!
I usually spend more then 5 minutes, sometimes up to 15 minutes!!

I have always had porus teeth, they tend to go yellow after a few months (something to do with not being breastfeed enough when I was a baby), even though I brush twice a day and floss each day, I even have a mouthwash once a week!

I floss every day now, some days I lay off flossing and brushing before going to bed to let my mouth have a short break!

But other then that I brush twice a day up to 10 minutes mornng and night for some reason, and floss once a day and when needed if I can see some food in between my teeth and I may have a mouthwash once a week!
I will be buying some Listerine this weekend, whats ur opinion on that specific mouthwash I have used it before and its very strong/potent stuff, but doesn't it irritate the gums slightly?

The longer you brush, the better. You just do not want to brush too hard.  Our office recommend a Sonicare toothbrush. It is excellent, especially for people with gum problems.  May sure you floss as well.

I think a visit to your dentist would ease your fears. An electric toothbrush might be a good investment.
