Why bad breath?

My son is 5 years now.  From the age of 3, I have been observing him to have bad breath.  He is cleaning is teeth twice a day.  There is gap between some of his front teeth.  He is having tonsils problem and frequently get infected with bronchitis.  Is this the culprit or are there any other reasons that I should take care of to sort out his bad breath? Your advice will be appreciated.

It might be the tonsils that are doing it.  Has he had a regular dental check up and cleaning?  You may want to encourage him to brush his tongue as there's also a popular spot for bacteria to grow and for bad breath to originate from.
