Wisdom Teeth

by confused_bout_stuff, Sep 26, 2007 06:46PM
About 1 week ago I had the 2 wisdom teeth on the bottom removed. They were both badly impacted down in the gums. And I was told that they had a struggle trying to get the teeth out. I am still in pain. On my right side the stitches are still in my mouth. How long are they supposed to stay in for? Because one week ago, today, was when I got them removed. On my left side, the stitches are out already. When the stitches came out, I realized that I had a little hole where they used to be. It hurts, but when I take ibeprophen, the pain goes away. Will that hole where the stitches were, go away? And, what is it? AND, Is this normal?

Don't worry about it. The hole is where the tooth was. I had my wisdom teeth out in march and I can still feel a hole where they were. It really depends on how severely the teeth were impacted. The more they were impacted, the longer it will take to heal and the longer it will take for the holes to close up. What you are going through is totally normal after having teeth removed. Good luck :)
