Wisdom Tooth Extraction

I had my lower left wisdom tooth removed three weeks ago, and although it was quite painful for the first few days, it wasn't too bad. After about a week it seemed to have got better, most of the pain was gone and it seemed to have healed just fine. The last week or so, I have been having a really bad pain in my jaw, which just won't go away, and on really bad days, the entire left side of my face hurts. I've had a look at where the tooth was taken out, and it has closed just fine, and doesn't appear to be infected. Any suggestions as to what this is, and how long I can expect it to last?

Hi,

There is possibility some pus collection in that area. Apparently from outside things may seem to be normal but there may be collection inside. Please see your dental surgeon again and take his advice. In mean time avoid solid food, take analgesic for pain.
