Wisdom teeth extracted

by 4wisdomteethextracted, Jul 02, 2009 01:28PM
Hello-

4 wisdom teeth extracted on May 8-age 34.

Background info:  Very anemic (Note:  I let my medical doctor know I wanted to have wisdom teeth removed and she said it was ok.  I also let the oral surgeon know I was very anemic.)

Lower wisdom teeth:  one partial boney and other completely boney.

Symptoms over the last two months:
Initially no feeling on rt side of jaw -gums/teeth, chin, and lip so hard to have symptoms- still recovering

Nerve damage on rt lower part of jaw
Could not open jaw fully for first 2 weeks....exercised it so it could open more(per oral surgeon)
Small balls on both sides of gums on rt lower side (liquid and nerve....I believe)
Felt some liquid and maybe fragments move from rt side to left side into ear at night? (happened about the 3rd week)
Left ear made crackling noise and feels like it is open more somehow
Rt side hand got a bit numb after sleeping as if I had laid on it (even though I had not- it has happened 3 times)
Ringing in left ear (now ringing has begun in rt ear)...mostly at night when lying down.  And when yawn, left ear makes some noise.
On rt lower side-for about the first week a sour/bitter liquid was coming out.  It also irritated my throat (leaving a line..bruise)  (oral surgeon didn't say anything about this when I told him)
Eyes burn at times (need to close them)....It has happened a few times-not sure how many.
Now that I can feel more-get pains on the side of my head (not really headaches....maybe pain in bone or nerves?)
Still slightly swollen on rt side of face
Hearing may have been affected on left side

I am looking for second opinion (but I am looking for a very qualified oral surgeon so I can be diagnosed properly).  I am in the San Francisco Bay Area in California.  I believe I might have more than one site infected and not sure what else might have happened.

Also, I am interested in 4 Cavitat screening to detect defects in jaw through sonography.  Please provide info on this.

If you want a second opinion from an oral surgeon, you can post this question in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery section.  The orals surgeon there may be able to provide some information in regards to your situation.  The best way to get a second opinion though is to find another oral surgeon in your area to get it evaluated.
