Yellow tongue

Over a year ago I had a crown put on my tooth.  It swelled up several times and I would have to drain the fluid (puss) out of it.  I went back my dentist twice and he put me on a perscription to kill the infection.  THe infection eventually went away but the gums around the tooth have now swelled up again but there is no fluid in it.  Over a month ago, I noticed my tongue in the morning was a orangish-yellow color, but would brush right off with a tooth brush.  Now, my tongue is pale in the morning when I wake up, and every time after I eat I have a yellow coating on my tongue that will brush off right away with a tooth brush and tooth paste.  I also noticed in the way back of my tongue several raised bumpsin a "v", which I think are fillaform pallipe (not sure how to spell it) according to the internet, which may have always been there but I just now noticed them..   What is going on in my mouth??  Is this due to my tooth, is my tooth infected? Or is it possible I have other health issues that I need to look into?  Please help, I'm driving myself crazy!  Thanks!

The first issue that should be addressed is the tooth and swelling that is associated with it. I think something more definitive should be done rather than just placing you on  antibiotics. I do not know if the coloring of your tongue is related to the tooth in question. I would suggest that you see a dentist and if you get no answer for the tongue then see an oral surgeon.

the "bumps" are probably circumvallate pappilae-- normal- regarding the yellow---cannot tell without seeing you. yu should see a dentist or oral surgeon. the fact that it brushes off make it sound not so ominous.
