Have lateral pressure pain on root canaled tooth, #30, and #31 is heavily/large filled. #2 above seems to be hitting and causing pain and ache to flair these teeth. I was told i have a small crack in #31, could this crack be causing the pain & sensitive pressure on #30. X rays all say everything good, but it seems to be getting worse.....I don't belive clenching could be causing this, as i have nightguard and have been actively treating TMJ issues..and i don't have any other symptoms. Just a continual ache in these teeth. If X ray shows nothing, is a crown in order for 31,or refilled (old amalgum from 60's) and/or redo of #30 even though no evidence on xray?

I think I would place a temporary crown on the tooth that is most sensitive to percussion. If all is well after a period of time then a more permanent crown can be fabricated. If this does not work then you would have to consider the adjacent tooth or redoing the root canal on one or both.

I have a permanant crown on #30 that is pressure sensitive, as it had it on their before the root canal..it was drilled through it...Do you mean remove the crown, do a redo and put a new crown on it? A temp first? of course...
