bump on floor of my mouth

I have a bump on the floor of my mouth, its starts out small and hard but by the end of the day it grows very large and it stays there for a day or two and then pops, i have noticed there is a hole in the middle of it. Can youu tell me what i should do or what this is. I've seen a doctor and she told me it looks like mouth cancer from smoking. Can you please help me?

That doesnt sound like cancer.  It sounds like a mucocele.  Basically its a blocked salivary gland.  Smoking could probably contribute to the problem by irritating the gland.

Mouth cancer typically starts out as a benign white plaque called leukoplakia, but with continued irritation turns into cancer.
