burning mouth syndrome

i had full upper dental implants 2 years ago, i had 6 dental posts and bone grafts due to severe bone loss.i had lost my taste for 6 months after surgery.now my taste is back but have severe burning mouth syndrome.went to a gastroenterologist thinking it might be from reflux, he did a endoscopy,it was not that, i saw my gynecologist ,he gave me a higher dose of my estrogen patch which helped hot flashes, but still have burning mouth ,saw the dentist who did implants he gave me a bottle of patented zinc mouthwash with oxygene, it does not help, i have read many articles online abouth burning mouth, i know they dont know what causes it.i dont know who i should see next. do you think it could be nerve damage from the implants? it is so hard to live a normal life with this condition .it is all you can think about.

Implant surgery may injure lingual nerve, resulting in unilateral paresthesia or burning sensation of gum and tongue. Systemic and local pathology may be precipitate burning tongue. If there is no systemic and local pathology identified, dysfunction of peripheral and central nervous system should be ruled out. Seeing an orofacial pain specialist is advised.

I've to the dentist and doctor no one seem have the answer about my burning.  I have a question; before my mouth started burning, I had a sinus infection can this cause burning mouth?

Sinus infection is probably not the cause of burning mouth disorder.If you are highly motivated,the textbook titled" orofacial pain & headache",edited byYairSharav and Rafael Benoliel, published bymosby, will provide you very updated information.In the mean time, you can try alpha-lipoic acid,300-600 /day, which is a nutritional supplement .If it is not effective , many pharmacologic management may be effective.However, no one single medication proved to be 100% effective for every case.
