can a dental bridge reside??

can a dental bridge reside??

hello,can i ask a question please :

i had a bridge done in my down back teeth 10 yrs ago which i replaced last year.

earlier on today i stupidly had some chocolate (which was hard) and now it feels funny.
could it have resided  or could it be just my anxiety over this?

also, will my dentist be able to tell or do i have to have an x-ray?

i try to take care of my teeth and i feel so stupid now.

tks in advance

Don't feel bad about eating chocolate and having something happen.  Just make sure you brush afterwards to prevent caries.

Yes, its possible your bridge may have moved.  Although chocolate isn't that hard, there's a possibility that there's a fracture of the tooth underneath the bridge resulting in some small movements.  You may also have a small cavity underneath.  Best to get your dentist to check it out.
