caring for a bifurcated tooth
I'm not certain my bifurcated molar is considered an "infection" as such, but it is tooth #18, it has a crown on it, and I had a root canal on it as well 6 months ago. The gum around the tooth is slightly inflamed, and has been since the root canal was performed. Yesterday during a routine cleaning, the hygienist injected some sort of medication to destroy some of the bacteria causing the inflamation. Then she gave me a "pikster" brush to insert under the gumline and into the bifurcation to keep it cleaned out. OK -- that hurts, and here's my question: why isn't there some sort of medicine or coating or packing that can be put into the bifurcated area to eliminate my having to dig into my tooth?
I would think there would be a permanent-type solution to this problem. Oh, this tooth is also anchoring a bridge... Any suggestions? I don't think I can keep sticking this pikster under the gum everyday...

When I requested my file to see another DDS he became irate. First he said he had to check a molar for infection he never treated.
My DDS pulled a syringe from behind his back & illegally sedated me without my knowledge or consent.
My DDS destroyed everything above the gum including his own gum surgury. My DDS was so irate I had seen another DDS that he intentionaly drilled thru & destroyed one of my last molars. He told me he intentionally bifurcated one of my last molars. A molar that was infected & no antibiotics were RX'd.
I ended up with septic shock, life support with renal & respiratory failure. I was not expected to live.
At 5'7" & 83 lbs losing weight. No doctrors said I had lung cancer.
I had an upper & lower infection not lung cancer.
My DDS pulled a syringe from behind his back & illegally sedated me without my knowledge or consent.

After paying my DDS $30,000.00 for a improperly placed reconstruction resulting in TMD, all my veneers broke at one a month.
My DDs did not know how to apply veneers to me or other patients.
I also had over 6 months of pain & swelling from my face into my neck from a newly crowned molar. My DDS shrugged it off as "grinding", I am not a grinder.
When I had a panoramic x-ray taken by an oral surgeon down the hall my DDS refused to look at it. He was informed I needed an immediate root canal.
My DDS stated he did not do root canals but it was too late for an Endodontist.
Drilling thru my newly crowned molar it reeked of decay. I underwent 3 more unsuccessful root canals all necrotic. All without antibiotics.
My DDS said he guaranteed root canals & crowns. But when I confronted him he became angry. His wife (receptionist) stated I would never receive that "free" crown replacement.
The day I was to have final impressions for that "free" crown replacement I asked for my file to see another DDS. A DDS who acknowledged my reconstruction was improperly placed. He also said my DDS was going to hurt me.
My DDS stated he had to first check my molar for infection before I left with my file. Infection he never treated before.
My DDS sedated me without my knowledge or consent. For 2 hours my DDS drilled thru my molar till my mouth filled with blood. He was verbally & physically abusive saying I got what I deserve for seeing another DDS...A DDS he did not approve of.
At times he referred to my molar as "bifurcated." Other times he referred to my molar as "Your stinking rotten crotch." "Do you know what that means?" "It means YOU!"
My DDS told me I would lose my molar. Then he proceeded to file down my front teeth saying, "I'm going to make you look worse than the first day you walked in my office." "You are going to look like you have teeth but don't have them...TOOTHLESS!" He said my reconstruction collapsed & could not stop laughing at his "EXPERTISE." His wife & sister (hygenist) told him to quiet down but no one could stop him from filing down my reconstruction.
I not only looked toothless. A white substance continually filled the corners of my mouth.
My DDS orally emptied a syringe smelling like raw sewage. He told me it was, "The smell of your rotten crotch."
I ended up on life support with septic shock, renal & respiratory failure. I was hemorrhaging from my stomach & intestines. All my internal organs (including heart, lungs & spleen) were covered in a green rind. My family was informed I would die.
I lived but all my internal organs relocated outside my body. A year later my digestive organs turned upside down with my intestines atop my stomach & my colon protruding out my navel.
Along with strictures & adhesions I was left to vomit my own feces & ongoing kidney failure.
The largest hernia ever seen I was to die without repair & no surgeon could repair me till Dr Soper NorthWestern Memorial Hosp. Chgo.
Dr Soper came to Chgo from the Mayo Clinic to make such huge repairs.
I am told I am his biggest repair.
I am still left with kidney disease.
All of this took place because of a cheap "FREE" crown replacement.
All of this happened because I wanted my file to see another DDS.
A DDS my DDS did not approve of.
My DDS left me to die.
