constant pain

i had my upper rite canie tooh extracted monday of this week it has been almost a whole week now and i am still in excruciating pain, i went back to my dentest and he said it was dry socket so he packed the stuff into my gums and said that it would stop hurting he even prescribed alittle more pain meds, it has  been 3 days since then and i still have no reliefe i am considering going to the hospital please help me out if you can i just need to know what i can do or what it mite be

All sounds about right, the only thing you did not mention was if he also placed you on antibiotic. Very important, make sure you get on it right away.
