cracked tooth

i am due 2 have an inlay put in next week, but as i was eating earier  the remainder of the tooth were the inlay is going cracked down the middle and half of it has become very lose and uncomfortable, what can i do to prevent more of the tooth falling out before i see my dentist, is there any glue or anything i can use?
