crossbite and TMJ Disorders

I had my second TMJ surgery 5 days ago. The doc said my joints looked like raw hamburger haha.. what exactly does that mean?

anyway, he finally told me my bite wasn't perfect. i've seen the guy at least 10 times in the past 3 years and he's always said my bite was perfect until the day i went to sign the consent form.. he was checking my mouth for any obvious infection i'm guessing. my bite is totally off right now.. will this improve once the swelling goes now?  my face looks really fat... i'm skin and bones. i look like a goof haha. i woke up this morning with the bottom of my right eye swollen.. could it be that the swelling is migrating because of how i slept last night? it feels like fluid.

i'm 21 years old.. is it too late for my slight crossbite to be corrected? and can it be the cause of my disorders? he did say "that's your problem"...regarding the tooth with the crossbite. the tooth is chipped and i've always wondered why because i never had a cavity in that tooth. i dunno when i should believe him.. i know he's at loss for words when it comes to my disorders and why the first surgery failed.

thanks

If you don't believe him or trust him you should get another opinion or find someone that you do trust.   All these questions should be answered by the surgeon and your dentist.
