crossbite in young children

my 1 year old daughter has crossbite i think? her bottom teeth over lap her top teeth and are wearing her top teeth away, she also has trouble biting so she tears food on her bottom teeth can u tell me whats the best way to get this treated? also i have read that it does not get treated untill they are 6 or seven but im worried what state her teeth will be in by then!

she has 4 teeth at top and 4 teeth at bottom she also has 4 big teeth at back, she dribbles terrible and often gets sores on her face where she dribbles during her sleep. i have now got her a dentist appointment for Friday. when she smiles her bottom teeth completely cover her top teeth i think it may be a protruding lower jaw than her teeth not being straight. hopefully i can get some answers Friday thanks for reply!

Treatment of orthodontic problems do not usually start until much later.  How many teeth does your daughter have at this point?  Unless she has a protruding lower jaw, the problem may adjust itself as all her "baby" teeth grow in.   Have you asked her pediatrician?
