crown,bridge, gums and cheek hurt

hi, I had a root canal done to my bottom tooth on right side about 3 weeks ago.  the dentist put a temp fillling in, then went to dentist again and he took out the temp filling and put in another temp filling.   After that  about a week later he put a crown on and also put a filling along the crown because  i have a gap from tooth loss i need a bridge also.  We'll 4 days later i was in tremendous pain and could not sleep. The dentist then saw me on saturday 9/29 and put a temp crown in with a bridge.   Im still in alot of pain, im on hydrocodeine 500mg 1 every 4 hours as needed and i also use ibuprofin- 1 tablet every 4 hours and because my gums are soar and my cheek way in the back on top is soar and also on bottom and gum line next to my temp crown.  Its sunday and im still in pain.
The crown throbs and its hard to eat and move my jaw because of pain in the cheeks and gum line.
the glands feel swollen. i have also used oralgel and kanker gel which only numbs it for 2 hours.  What else can i do? should i go back to dentist and how long do i have to wait for pain to ease.
Do i have an infection? the crown is not even with my other molar tooth, its deeper.  Any suggestiion id appreciate it and thanks for taking the time to read my thread

The new cements and acrylic temporaries cause intense aching in my teeth, and the cement feels like it's burning right down the nerve when the temps are put in. The new kind of permanent cement is also really painful for me.

The old tin can temporaries and the old type of cement never caused me any pain at all.

I am close to not being able to chew at all. 3 two-year old crowns on the right that throb with pain if I eat tomatoes, and other foods that surprise me. Now I am getting 2 crowns on the right - and wonder if I will ever be able to chew again.

I hate the new materials. Hate them. And hope they are never used on me again. When I learn their names I will insist on never having them used on me againn. Like agant orange for the mouth. Torture.

Temporary crowns aren't very comfortable at all.  It's hard to get a good fit and a good seal around it.  For some reason most toothaches hurt worst at night than during the day, but if it hurts worst when you get up in the morning you may be grinding your teeth at night.  The pain in the cheek is probably from the shots.  The gums may be sore the whole time, because it's hard to keep it clean around that temporary crown.  You could ask for a second opinion from an endodontist, a root canal specialist, just to make sure that the root canal was done properly.

hi
I dont think it s my bite, this crown is sunk in there. It still hurts quite a bit and im still taking
painkillers and ibuprofin. When i sleep is when it hurts the most especially in the morning.
My guess is the root canal was not done right or im very senesitive to the crown or that cement they put in there.  gums are still soar on one side the crown. Is this nornal for temp crowns?

thanks'

Does the bite feel high to you when you bite down?  That could cause some of the sensitivity.  I would definately go back if it hasn't gotten any better.
