dental infection

I had a root canal over 15 years ago and learned a year ago it needed to be re-filled.  They referred me to an Endo who found out I had a bad infection above my teeth where I have a cracked bone due to an old accident.  They think that it affected the second upper front tooth that now needs a root canal.  In the midst of her looking at refilling it she said it was decayed too and started scraping it til it chipped off.  She then layed on the price of what needed to be done immediately and I did not have that kind of money.  She glued what she could on my front tooth since I lay there crying and said she could not do anything for me without all the money paid at once.  She referred me to Care Credit and Capital which of course I don't qualify for.  My Dental Plan does not pay for implants and all the other work needed would be paid anywhere around 50%.  If I need an implant, a root canal for a second tooth, a 2 crowns and a surgery for draining the infection, it's very very costly.

I have called numerous dentist who need all the money up front or I would need to find other finance to pay in full to them.  I can put about $400 down and make low payments but I defintely do not have that kind of money for someone who lives on every paycheck.

I now suffer with so much pain, headaches, and now an ear ache which I've never had problems with before.

Can anyone direct me to a solution please.

you could try the local dental schools. they would probably be thrilled to work on someone with a more complicated problem instead of the routine fillings. you could also try to apply for a different credit card other than care credit. look for one with no interest for a year and work a second job for the year if necessary to pay it all off. thats not the best plan but i have done it before out of necessity. just make sure its all paid off because some sneaky companies will charge you interest on the entire purchase instead of the remaining balance.
