discomfort in pain next to new crown

Had root canal and crown on tooth number 13 two months ago. Tooth number 12 dosen't feel right. It seems somewhat achy. Not sensitive to hot or cold, there is no pain when I chew on it. If I tap the tooth lightly it does hurt. About 5 weeks ago I complained of the same symptoms and the dentist adjusted the bite on that tooth. It did seem to help for awhile. Could the new crown next to the tooth be too tight, causing discomfort on that tooth? I can floss around the new crown OK. Will see the dentist next week. Is this typical of an adjacent tooth next to a new crown?

I do not feel that the discomfort you are experiencing is related to the crown on the adjacent tooth and i would investigate #12 at this point.
