dry socket

So i got my wisdom tooth out 2 days ago, and the pain doesn't seem to go away. I have this weird taste in my mouth all the time. And my gauze has this yellowish color when I change it. Sometimes it feels like the socket is throbbing. I'm only 15yrs old. I would of opened my mouth to check if I can see the bone. But it hurts too much when I open my mouth. Is this what is feels like to have a dry socket? What can I do if I have a dry socket?

You should go back to your dentist and let him/her check the situation. Your dentist might recommend a more effective pain reliever than the one you are using or he/she might tell you to continue taking the antibiotics for a couple more days.

I'm taking both antibiotics (Amoxcillin 500g) and pain meds(Motrin 600g). Will this help get rid of the pain? How soon will the pain go away, because I missed two days of school already, I don't want to miss more.

You may want to contact your dentist and find out if you have dry socket.  They usually will pack the socket with some medicine to help alleviate the pain.  Are you taking any antibiotics or pain meds?
