My tongue is very dry at the tip only and dries out very quickley. Seems to need moisture every 2 minutes. The rest of the tongue is fine. Also the tip is tingling all the time . Any Ideas what this might be as it started 6 months ago I am a 57 yo male

Chances are you are developing dry mouth.  This is usually caused by medications, radiation treatments, or damage to the salavary glands.  You should check in with your dentist for preventive treatment and products that will help with the dry mouth.
