fed up

i had 5 teeth out 3 week ago.all went well but there is just one cavity that will not get better for me to put my new denture in.i followed my dentists instructions to a t but there is gum hanging down where the hole should be.is it ever going to get better because i sick of having mashed up food

just to let you know ,since i last e.mailed you ,and ask if this is usual that a couple of slithers of fine bone has come out of the lump of flesh that is attached to my front gum where i had my front tooth  out the lump has gone from red to white does this mean the lump is getting better and will go away i have just finished my antibiotics.regards from sylvia c

thanks for the advice and just to let you know that last night 2 peaces of very small bone slithers came out of the peace of flesh or should i say it looks like a round lump naw so i will watch and wait and keep my dentist appointment next friday  cheers and happy easter to you and yours....

tissue matureation takes a min. of 6-8 weeks and the bone reconfiguration under will take 4-5 months. that means that in 4-5 months you will need to redo the inside of your denture as there will be accelerated reshaping under the gums..so much that the fit of your denture will be effected.. So be patient..healing a is a process, not an event.
