feels like I have something stuck in my throat

I had a filling fall out and didn't go in to have the tooth repairs fast enough, on Jan 1,2011 I started to have tooth pain, turned into major pain, had to wait 3 days to see a dentist , after x ray , infection was confirmed.  She put me on 500mg amoxicillin x3 for 10 days... just finishing a full 3 days and the pain is gone , had a bit of swelling in lower cheek , it too seems to be clearing up.  yesterday I felt like I had a lump in my throat whenever I swallowed, and abit of a sore throat...nothing painful just annoying , today I had a Doctor's appointment and had him check my throat , he said there was abit of residual swelling on my left side from the infection...I didn't realize that i had throat swelling at all , just cheek , so now I am obsessing that it could be the start of a allergic reaction , I have been somewhat itchy also, not bad , just itching... and no rash.  Does this seem like a problem that I should be concerned over ?  My Doctor wasn't concerned at all.
I have very obsessive thinking and anxiety/panic disorder also , maybe its nothing...any suggestions!  Also wondering how long before the tooth can be removed, do they make you wait til all the med is gone.  This is my first tooth infection ever.
