growth on tongue

growth on tongue

about two months ago I noticed a small pimple on the top center of my tongue. It went away and then came back. While at my cleaning, my dentist said that it was probably a growth that is caused by acidic foods. But it wasnt there anymore so he never actually saw it. It stayed away for about a month and a half. Now it's back again in the same place and it's painless. but annoying. I read somewhere that a man had a small white growth that spread and became cancer. Now I am freaking out. and worrying that this may grow. I do not remember eating anything citris lately except citris green tea. But I have drank that before. does anyone know what this could be. Is it harmless or should I get it checked out ? It is small , in a certain light it looks white, other times looks colorless.

Cancer almost never comes and goes, if no treatment intervened. Spontaneous resolution is commonly a reactive lesion. Seeing an oral pathologist or oral medicine specialist is dvised.
