gum pain 2 years after extraction

hi I had an extraction 2 years ago however i still have the same pain on my gum as to the pain i use to have when my tooth was there. I have been to dentist he said he cant find anything please help. Its really painful I wake up at night in terrible pain ... the pain last for like 2 hours .. I live my life on pain killers.

Have your dentist or an oral surgeon numb you and explore the area possibly.  They may need to open it up and see if there's any remaining pieces of tooth/bone that may be causing pain.

I actually had a patient who I removed a tooth about 2-3 years ago come back with pain in that area.  It was a little swollen and nothing showed up on the x-ray.  The small piece of bone finally pushed its way out a little of the gum and I removed it.  I haven't followed up with her (it was actually just this week I think) but I should be seeing her soon.
