gums and jaw hurt

My gums have been hurting for about three days. I had a dental cleaning about a week and a half ago and everything seemed to be normal. Now, when i brush my teeth or touch, pucker my cheeks and lips, my lower gums ache. Its not the area near my teeth that hurt but by my lower jaw where my teeth are growing that it hurts. I read online that periodontits causes this but i'm not sure that this is what i have because my dentist said my teeth and gums were fine. Also when I open my mouth wide where my upper and lower jaws connect also hurts and kinda clicks. The color of my gums are fine and dont seem to be swollen, I just have pain. I've actually noticed to small bumps on the outer side of my mouth, close to where my lower gums hurt, that have also been painful.

see a maxillofacial surgeon..u might have a problem with ur temperomandibular joint as u said u can feel clicking sound while opening the mouth wide open

Seeing a periodontist and tmj specialist is advised.
