innerlip

I just got this rough raw patch in my mouth just before my lip starts and near the corner... it also seems to be starting directly above on the inside of the upperlip. It is slightly swollen and slightly numb.  

I do have food allergies but my boyfriend has a reacurrent problem with the corner of his mouth and fear this might be the start of the same condition. His mouth seems to ulcer just in the corner fold and beyond his lips. This seems to always be present on him to some degree.

This rough, raw patch you're referring to could be a number of things ranging from an allergic reaction to some sort of ulcer (herpetic or aphthous).  Most likely, it is not related to your boyfriend's condition but an examination by a dentist would help determine the condition and the best course of treatment.
