Tooth ache is not always dental origin. If no structural pathology of tooth or jaw bone identified, the most common culprit of tooth ache is muscular tooth ache, which is commonly associated with temporomandibular disorder. Seeing a tmj specialist or orofacial pain specialist is advised.
