jaw muscle

my question is that i have 2 teeth missing on the bottom side of my lower right jaw. can this cause my jaw muscles on that side to shrink. my jaw is quit sore and i notice that the muscles are smaller on that side.

when your bite is offset by missing teeth it can cause the muscles to become quite uncomfortable. there are several things you can do to replace these missing teeth and have your jaw in proper alignment once again, if this is the problem.

It can throw off the musculature if you tend to favor one side over the other. I am not sure you will reduce the muscle mass on that side.
