jaw tingling

I have tmj not in alot of pain no clicking ect, but i get this awful pulsating and tingling and tightness in my jaw, and crawling and itchy feeling in my ear, (same side), what is causing this. my dentist here in the uk says it is a muscle imbalance, got a NSI orthotic to wear at night on my teeth  but it is no help, any suggestions whats causing this, oh and my nose tingles to, and sometimes over back of my head.

I would suggest you see a neurologist to see if the symptoms are consistent with something along that nerve track.  Sometimes with neurological problems, you get tingling sensations and it sounds by your description that it could all be related to a common nerve.
