manipulation for trismus of the jaw

by bpain, Oct 10, 2009 03:03PM
I had surgery for trismus followed by a block insert ten days ago.  I am still in intense pain and my mouth still insists on closing up.  What can I do?  Is this normal?

This discussion is related to eminectomy.

Trismus may be caused by infection or internal derangement of tmj.Seeing a tmj specialist is advised.
