metallic taste in my mouth

i have a metallic taste in my mouth, its strange when i eat its not a problem the food tastes like it normally should and i have no problem swallowing and my mouth isnt dry.  I started an antibiotic on sunday (z-pac) could this be causing the problem.

If altered taste developes after administration of antibiotics,it may well be caused by the antibiotics. If the altered taste persists after discontinuation of antibiotics, you may need to see an oral medicine specialist to investigate the source of altered taste.
