mouth hurts after crowns

by dakotadoll, Jul 30, 2009 03:36PM
in January I had 6 crowns done, the two front teeth and the two on each side of them. I had to have a root canal on the one front tooth. the other teeth have had root canals in the past. I had quite a bit of pain when the temporary ones were on. I still have pain in my mouth. I have been to the dentist several times to have adjustments done. He made the teeth slightly longer and wants to shave some off the teeth, thinking I am not getting used to the new length. I need another opinion on the cause of the pain and what to do. thank you.

What kind of pain is it?  Is it a dull ache, sharp pain, etc?  Also, does it occur spontaneously or does it happen when you eat, drink, bite, etc?
