i recently had a tooth extracted that had previously had a rt.canal done to it. they pulled the tooth and everything was fine , then it started to hurt bad the dentist told me it had a dry socket and that it would feel better after they packed it with the clove gauze, i have had it packed five times so far and no relife. It hurts worse after i leave the office and it feels like it is in the bone. the dentist just keeps telling me thats all they can due, could something else be wrong or due dry sockets realy take a few weeks to heal.
No there is nothing else they can do you have to just gargle with peroxide and warm water and wait for your mouth to heal. Trust me we all get that pain after we get a tooth extracted and it does last sometimes a couple of weeks.
If the pain persist more than another week then go see an oral surgent there could be the possibility that there is still tooth fragments in there it happend to my sister 3 years ago.
