new bridge crown causing soreness and loose teeth?

Over four months ago I had bridge work started for the left lower side of my mouth. (I had one tooth
missing for over thirty years)!  Since the bridge work,  I have
had repeated soreness and mouth aches, so much so, that my dentist still has me wearing
the temporary bridge!   After the first month, I even had to have a root canal on one of
the teeth under the bridge.   My compaint has been that,  first, the bridge itself
feels as if it's pushing at my teeth, and also  every time I go to bite down on it,
it is still sore, so I am forced to use my other side of my mouth for the majority of chewing.  Secondly, I have felt that my bite is off; that I feel my top and bottom  teeth are constantly hitting each other.
My jaw sometimes tightens as well.  I also now have loose painful teeth on the right lower part of my mouth!   I am getting so tired of return trips to the dentist.  He files down the teeth,
but the symptoms are still the same  There are many days I just want to
rip the bridge out and go from there.   Can an ill-fitting bridge do this much damage
to ones mouth?   Does anyone have any real solutions for me.  I hate taking so much
advil for the pain, and want my mouth and teeth to feel normal again soon.

An ill fitting bridge can cause the discomfort you are experiencing. If you do not get any relief in a reasonable period of time I would suggest you get another opinion. It is unacceptable to be in this much discomfort for an extended period of time.

it can indeed cause the problems you mentioned. the TMJ jpint is v ery intracate, and easily thrown out of balance for a myriad of possible reasons, recent dentistry being one of them. I'd suggest you get another opinion (with your temporary in place) on your state of affairs from a proshtodontist or a TMJ specialist.
