numbness after Maxillofacial Surgery

numbness after Maxillofacial Surgery

I had my lower jaw moved forward about 15 months back. The left half of my lower chin and lips are still partially numb(there is burning sensation). Is this permanent or is there still chances of the sensation returning?

I am not an expert. I don't know anything about it actually. But you had some pretty heavy surgery and a bit of pain or numbness or weird feelings would prolly stay for a while. 15 months seems like an awful long time. Can you call your surgeon?
