oral herpes

doc

about a month ago i kissed a girl on the lips for about 2 seconds (she had no visible sores).

about a week later, i got a little white/milky bump on my tongue (the tip very near the middle but on the left side).  It hurt when i brushed it against my teeth.  Simultaneously, i got a fissure on my bottom lip on the same side as the tongue bump.  I went to a GP and he looked at it for two seconds and said i had oral herpes and gave me valtrex.

it stopped hurting in a total of 3-4 days.

I went two days later to a different GP and he said it looked bacetrial not viral and gave me antibiotics.  He warned however that it may have looked different when the first doc saw it.

the same day as my second doc appt i also went to see an oral surgeon.  He inspected my lymph nodes and looked at the bump and said he didn't see anything and that at the exact moment i did NOT have a herpes infection.

now, about three weeks after the first episode i got another white/milky bump this time however also near the middle (tip of the tongue) but on the right side.

I'm scared about herpes, and I gave oral sex to my girlfriend when i had this (this was this past weekend).

the medhelp people on this website keep saying that it doesn't "sound" like herpes to them.

I'm wondering what you think?  also, if it was hepres, could have recurred in less than a month?

I need help.

thanks

I too think it doesn't sound like herpes. Obviously I can not diagnosis it without seeing it. I would suggest that you see the oral surgeon again when and if this occurs again--at the time it surfaces.
