oral surgery healing; clear denture

I am a 64 yr. old male who had oral surgery, removing 6 upper teeth in preparation for a denture.  The surgeon also did bone graft in the sockets and removed any high spots.  I am told that I have an excellent surface for an upper denture.  I have two questions:  1.  I know a couple whose dentist had them, and the rest of his patients wait six months before the impression was taken.  My surgeon and dentist believe I am ready in one month.  I feel like I'm still healing, but would this affect the impression.  Six months or one month, what's your opinion.   2.  My partner cared for a woman that had a clear denture.  She said it looked like a ring of teeth from a distance.  I am told there are downsides to this clear denture.  What would they be?  I want the most comfortable denture available  and having one that doesn't look like a denture is a definite plus since I have emotional issues accepting a denture in my life.  Your opinions would be very helpful to me.  Thank You.

Is it complete denture with all your teeth missing?  If so, your dentist may feel that since you're only removing the front teeth and not the back teeth at all, there's still enough stable bone to produce a denture.  They may need to make adjustments over the months but overall it'll probably be a decent fit overall and a new one may not need to be made.

I'm not sure what a clear denture is in regards to a complete denture.  There are valplast partial dentures which replace the traditional metal with a plastic.  I'm not sure if that's what you are referring to.
