oral wart?? or something else?

by reezereeze, Dec 03, 2005 12:00AM
yester i found a blister looking bump on the left side of my tongue about 1/3 from the front, near the side of the tongue.

it hurt like blister.

i went to an orla surgeon today who said it looked like a wart to him and he took it out for a biopsy.

questions:

1) i haven't performed oral sex on anyone except my gf of 3+ years. He said it looked new to him. How can i get it without performing oral sex or being another girl AT ALL (no kissing or anything). he mentioned a possiblity of non sexual transmission, how?

2) he said since he cut it out that it will NOT come back, is this true?

3) he said since he cut it out, i am no longer contagious, he said i'm not will not be contagious ever again - is this true?

4) I'm confused and scared about the future. reading online, it says oral HPV RECCURS. so why did he tell me different?

5) online it also says that i will forever be contagious. that if my gf perfroms oral sex on me or she kisses me or if i perfrom oral sex she can/will get it too.

please clarify, you help is appreciated.

thanks

Before jumping the gun and speculating as to what it might be,  i would first wait for the results of the biopsy.  You may be worrying over nothing.  If it is herpes virus, then that does lay dormant and could come back at a later time.  Discuss this with your surgeon when he/she gives you the result of the biopsy.
