pain afetr root canal

Hello,
I did root canal on my 4rt upper left tooth and after that i ve experienced strange pain above it goint up towards my eyes,The pain was only if i touch my face,It was like I am touching my nerves or something really sharp.I went back to the dentist and he put some medicine on my root canals without closing the tooth,Now the pain is like i havebeaten on my face and its really bothering me,The dentist i am going to seems not good,I have appointment with a new doctor,
Could they damage something by using longer pinch while working on  my canals?

Your descriptions suggests periapical infection of root canaled tooth. As long as the canal is thoroughly debrided and optimally obturated, periapical infection tends to subside and associated symptoms will settle. If symptoms persists and get worse, seeing an endodontist is advised.
