pain after jaw grafting procedure

I had 2 lower grafts done on my jaw with bone removed from back lower right jaw.  It has been 6 days and have been experiencing a severe headache in temple area and swollen tonsils.  I do not have a fever and the swelling is down in the facial area.  What is causing all this pain and is it  normal?

It may take some time to heal after an extensive procedure such as that.  I would call your dentist to see if he may want to give you a quick checkup to see if everything is healing properly.  Perhaps a stronger pain medication is needed as well.
